What are the characteristics of a "project"?
Someone likened it to a journey characterized by a starting point (generally known), by an arrival point (sometimes known in an approximate way), and by a path which is assumed initially but that can change as afunction of events that can occur in the meantime.
The main difficulty encountered in controlling a Project is represented by unexpected events that occur daily and that require to "define and redefine" more precisely what must be done to accomplish it according to the objectives.
The discipline of Project Control has just this purpose and to be always “up-to-date” it must operate like a satellite navigator when we change the set destination or when, for accidental reasons, we went to a location different from the originally planned one.
