Subcontracts Management

 

The Subcontract Management module was designed to provide an effective support in managing relations with suppliers which often represent a large part of the whole Project delivery system. This module is able to provide the ideal support to produce for each contract the best EAC value and to exercise effective prevention of possible claims.

During the Planning Phase this module allows you to break down a subcontract in the most appropriate level of detail depending on his relevance and during the Progress Evaluation Phase allows you to “delegate” to the supplier (web mode) the detection of the work progress (in a “self-certification” way) limiting your effort to periodic checks for approval.

Features

The main features of this module will allow to:

  • define the scope of work and the related contractual terms (advances, guarantees, performance, penalties, invoices, payments, etc.);
  • define the main structure of the Subcontract by identifying the "Subcontract Items" and their type (lump sum, unit prices, ....);

 

  • breaking down each Subcontract Item until identifying the Control items (wp);

 

  • attribute to each work package a value (or a weight) congruent with the value attributed to the relative Subcontract Item;
  • place the individual wp over time, according to the contract schedule;
  • develop over time the economic plan (Costs) and the financial plan (Disbursements) for the Subcontract;
  • detect the progress of work in different ways according to the characteristics of each single wp planned.
  • manage change orders.
  • manage expected claims which could become change orders in the future.

The results of the elaborations made within the Subcontract Management module are transferred to the Bugeting & Cost Control module, thus contributing to the progress assessments of the Project as a whole.
